The Many-body Quantum Dynamics Group, led by Prof Ulrich Schneider, of the Department of Physics, invites applications for a postdoctoral positions on experimental research on many-body dynamics in an optical Kagome lattice.
We are looking for a cold-atoms expert with (or being close to complete) a PhD in physics and experimental experience in using ultracold atoms in optical lattices, ideally in flat-band systems. Knowledge of the theory of many-body physics and condensed matter physics or related numerical techniques is helpful.
You will design and carry out experimental investigations together with a team of PhD and undergraduate students. In addition, you will communicate research findings through publications, talks, or lectures, contribute to the infrastructure of the research group, and assist with the training of students.
This position is dependent on the applicant having a PhD including those who have submitted but not yet received their PhD (in which case appointment will initially be made at research assistant and amended to research associate when the PhD is awarded).
