Research Administrator (Fixed Term)
Applications are invited for the post of Research Administrator to support and coordinate the activities of the Cambridge ELLIS unit. ELLIS (European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems, https://ellis.eu) is a European AI network of excellence putting together the best researchers in machine learning in Europe. It focuses on fundamental science, technical innovation and societal impact.
The Cambridge ELLIS unit is based within the Information Engineering Division at the Department of Engineering's Trumpington Street site. By coordinating and supporting the activities of the unit, the Research Administrator will help it achieve the scientific goals of the ELLIS initiative.
In addition to providing support for the Cambridge ELLIS unit, the role-holder will also provide administrative support to one of the research groups within the Machine Learning Group of the Information Engineering Division.
Educated to HND/HNC level or equivalent level of experience, you will be an experienced user of Microsoft Office with excellent organisational skills. Previous administrative experience and an understanding of research coordination are essential and ideally this would have been gained within a similar role in the University. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential pre-requisites for this role.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2025 in the first instance.
