Food Safety Compliance Manager
The Role:
As the Food Safety Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that excellent food quality and safety standards are met across the whole University Hospitality outlets in conjunction with the Head of University Catering, the General Catering Manager and all other relevant internal and external stakeholders.
The role holder you will be responsible for annual audits of 50+ catering outlets operated by the University Catering Service, Departments and Contract Caterers. You will also assist managers with the implementation of procedures relating to all aspects of food safety to ensure compliance. This includes maintaining compliance in food safety by ensuring all University catering staff and contractors are qualified in food safety and that training records are correct and up to date.
The role holder must have extensive knowledge of Food Safety Legislation so as to provide expert guidance and food safety knowledge to senior University Managers
About you:
In order to succeed in this role, you will join us with:
- RSPH Food Safety Level 4
- Degree level or equivalent qualification in food safety, or demonstrable experience in a related field
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of implementing the principles of HACCP
- Extensive knowledge of the legal and practical aspects of food safety within an organisation
- Food safety auditing experience (preferably BRC standard or similar)
- Experience of report writing
- Experience of delivering training /awareness-raising
