Head of Stewardship [Temporary Cover]

The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Stewardship to join our team on a temporary cover basis. Reporting to the Director of Alumni & External Engagement, you will manage the engagement strategy for lead volunteers, key donors, and strategic partners. This includes creating stewardship plans, supporting the CJBS Advisory Board, and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the stewardship strategy in alignment with CJBS's strategic objectives.
- Manage the CJBS engagement strategy for lead volunteers, key donors, and strategic partners.
- Support the CJBS Advisory Board, including preparing briefings, managing meetings, and maintaining relationships.
- Coordinate VIP visits and manage relationships with major organisational supporters.
- Create and deliver stewardship communications, such as newsletters and annual reports.
- Line management and financial administration, including budget oversight and expenditure monitoring.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and database management.
- Excellent writing, editorial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and managing corporate contacts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across various cultures and levels of seniority.
- Strategic and operational thinking with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proven relationship management, project management, and organisational skills.
- Experience in event planning, management, and evaluation.
- A degree or equivalent experience, with flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work and willingness to travel.
This role is based in central Cambridge and offers a hybrid working arrangement. The role holder will be expected to attend the office every week.
Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 1 year or upon the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
