Childcare and Playscheme Administrator [Temporary Cover]

The Childcare and Playscheme Administrator role reports to the Playscheme Manager. The Playscheme team sit within the University Childcare Services. The Childcare Services oversees the University Nurseries, provides an information service and runs the University Playscheme. These services are available to University Staff and Students.

The Role:

The Childcare and Playscheme Administrator is responsible for processing and overseeing Playscheme bookings, providing administrative support for both Playscheme team and Childcare Services (where appropriate), supporting Playscheme set up and being part of the senior leadership team when Playscheme is running.

About you:

In order to succeed in this role, you will:

  • Have experience of working in an administrative role;
  • Have a good level of IT knowledge, with the ability to work across different systems;
  • Want to be part of a hardworking and dedicated team;
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to organise own workload effectively;
  • Have an awareness of the importance of safeguarding children and young people.

Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 12 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check (enhanced with children's barred list) and a security check.
