Digital Communications Associate - Part Time, FTC 14months (Mat Cover)

Internally known as Alumni Engagement Digital Communications Associate.

Are you a forward, creative thinker with a passion for digital communications?

We have a perfect opportunity for a communications professional looking for a part-time, flexible role with a varied workload in a supportive and friendly team that delivers high quality, meaningful work. This is a 3 day per week job share for around 14 months covering alumni and development communications in the University Advancement Communications team.

While one of our incredibly valued team members is away, this full-time role has been split into two parts for a job share: marketing and communications. The marketing role is already filled, and we now need someone who will be the ideal complement to cover the everyday content for alumni and development audiences on our website and social media.

What You'll Do

  • Create engaging, high-quality content for the University's alumni and development website
  • Manage and grow our alumni-focused social media channel - including a brand-new platform launching this year
  • Write and send email newsletters and digital communications to the alumni community
  • Support and refresh our social media strategy
  • Collaborate across teams on digital campaigns and storytelling initiatives

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in a broad range of digital communications, content creation, and social media management
  • Proficiency in content management and scheduling tools
  • A creative mindset and strong editorial judgement
  • The ability to write clearly and persuasively for diverse audiences
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach

This is a great time to join the Advancement Communications team, where you will be joining a purpose-driven team that values creativity and innovation. Join us as we launch exciting new projects as well as starting to plan for the next major fundraising campaign!

Applications are welcome from internal candidates who would like to apply for the role on the basis of a secondment from their current role in the University.
